My Acupuncture Story:
Chinese medicine has captured my heart and full attention. In my early twenties, I was diagnosed with gallstones and the symptoms were greatly impacting my quality of life. My doctor gave me two choices. First, immediate surgery. Second, possible future emergency surgery. I chose to get another opinion. What I discovered changed my life forever. In 2003, I visited my first acupuncturist. Chinese medicine was not a quick fix for me, the result, I still have my gallbladder (with no stones). It was amazing. Becoming more curious, I started an apprenticeship and have not looked back since. My favorite moments as an acupuncturist are the daily reminders of the “miracle” that first-time patients experience. Acupuncture can leave patients shocked, puzzled, excited and many people find hope after a long road to finding relief. People experience a realization that there is a safe, effective and gentle way to improve their quality of life.
Bree loves working with families and has advanced training in Pediatric care. In addition to her Chinese Medical training, Bree is a certified meditation and mindfulness teacher through McLean Meditation Institute. She offers meditation training and Qigong Classes at North Idaho Family Acupuncture.
